This is one of the myths of the European Union, where energy issues were dealt with directly in the framework of EU Councils as part of climate policy, and the main objective and top priority of energy policy and change was decarbonisation and the transition to climate change. The Minister went on to highlight the rapid change in the policies of European countries in the light of the recent crisis. She stressed the need for energy sovereignty and complete independence from Russian raw materials. Remigiusz Kopoczek, Director of the NCBR, spoke next. Referring to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he said that this had led to the view that efforts to reach a green deal would remain limited in the next decade. • Poland and the European Union want to become independent of raw material supplies from the East as soon as possible.
